Tazret gel is commonly used medication for the treatment of Psoriasis and acne and the skin damage due to sun rays. The active constituent of Tazret gel is Tazarotene. Tazarotene is a compound similar to vitamin A. This medication helps the skin to renew itself more rapidly and may recover the appearance and texture of skin. Tazret gel decreases skin inflammation and skin changes related to acne and psoriasis. It works by binding to all three members of the retinoic acid receptor (RAR) family such as RARa, RARb, and RARg, but shows relative for RARb, and RARg and modifies gene expression.

What are the contraindications of Tazret gel?

  • If you are allergic to this drug or any of the other ingredients present in this medicine then do not use this medication.
  • Do not use this medication if you are suffering from blood pressure, liver and kidney disease.
  • If you have any kind of other skin conditions or history of eczema, sunburn and sun sensitivity you should not use this medication.

What are the drug interactions of Tazret gel?

  • You should not use this medication if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement.
  • Do not use Glipizide, Sulfamethoxazole, Phenothiazines, and Chlorpromazine.

Wash your hand and face before and after using this medication. Dry the washed area and use your finger to use this medication. Take sufficient amount of this medication and gently massage on your skin. 

Itching, redness, rashes, irritation, numbness, peeling off, stinging of the skin, scaling of the skin, pain in skin, photosensitivity.

  • If you have a wound on the skin due to sunburn, windburn, dryness, chapping, or irritation, or on an open wound then you should not use this medication.
  • If you are pregnant and breastfeeding you should not use this medication.
  • Do not allow Tazarotene cream to come into contact with unaffected skin.
